Are the attacks on Huckabee coming from Dems or Repubs?? |
|
There is a striking similarity to the Willie Horton ads of yesteryear. Of course, Huffington is reporting on it but I don't think it originated there? In my opinion, the Huckster is getting too strong in the polls and the attacks are either coming from the Giuliani or the Romney campaigns? Of course, I could be wrong but I don't think these attacks are originating from the Democrats. Floyd Brown, anyone?

1. Who cares? This scary asshole is now the frontrunner, and his awful deeds |
|
should be made public. This isn't "swiftboating"--Huck would be an absolute disaster for this country.

I knew about it, and drew people's attention to it on DU, months ago. The media picked up on it big-time because he's the frontrunner now.

For one thing, the Clinton machine probably wants him out of the race. If they have any dirty secrets left from Arkansas, Huckleberry probably knows what they are.
And I said "IF", so please no astroturf outrage, Hillbots.
As for the Repuke side, they don't like his "fair tax" idea (whatever that is) and God's already split His endorsement between Mayor 9u11ani (via Pat Robertson) and Mitt Romney (via the Prophet Joseph Smith) so there's no room for Mikey.

5. I think the Media (more responsible ones) woke up and |
|
smelled something fishy and got to work.
There are many implications behind that Christian Leader Ad. As a Minister, to dodge and I mean dirty dodge any questiom that could help this country get over Bigotry is a disgrace. He simply confirmed to those inclined to Religious Bigotry that it is ok. Any minister who cannot or will not attempt to prevent or stop bigotry--should have his motives questioned.
We do not have a religious test for the Presidency of the US.

The other Republican candidates see a threat, and one they hadn't really considered beforehand. The Democrats see a threat, and one they hadn't been preparing to fight.
(Speaking of which: man, the Clinton similarities never end.)
