Sean Penn to endorse Dennis Kucinich today.
From NBC's Domenico Montanaro
Sean Penn will endorse Kucinich this afternoon at a press conference in San Francisco, a source close to the Hollywood actor said. He will also be speaking on "the Constitution, the media and Dennis Kucinich," the source said. Expect a political speech.

Penn has donated $4,600 to John Edwards' campaign and $2,300 to Kucinich during this cycle, per FEC campaign finance data.

In March of this year, Penn wrote in a WorldNetDaily column that, "As things stand today, I will be voting for Dennis Kucinich, who has fought this war from the beginning. You might say Kucinich can't win. Well, we have an opportunity to re-establish the credibility of democracy as viewed by the world at large."

2. So he picked Kucinich over Edwards
Makes sense to me. Kudos to Penn for sticking to his principles and not getting fooled by weak arguments about "electability". Well, maybe he did get somewhat fooled judging by his donations, but he got it right in the end.

:woohoo:

But why did he donate more money to Edwards, who wasn't "against the war from the beginning"?

10. Precisely why we need instant runoff voting!
I'd even throw a third write-in vote with that in place for Al Gore as my next choice, afer Edwards and DK, in case he got in to the mix.

8. Kick
:kick: for the man who's spoken the truth from the beginning
:kick: for the man who's not afraid to go up against the dunderheads who are told to ignore his campaign from MSM
:kick: for the caucus
:kick: for the primaries
:kick: for sanity in asking, "Why not?"
:kick: for the presidency, cause I'm sick and tired of the front runners in the Democratic Party who do not represent the frontrunners of democracy.

15. Off topic trivia: Sean will be starring in a movie about Harvey Milk (the gay MLK)
For people unfamiliar with the name, Milk was a revolutionary gay leader in San Francisco in the 70s. Even if you haven't heard of him, the "twinkie defense" probably rings a bell. The guy that killed Milk and one other city commissioner, said he'd eaten too much junk food before the murders, and it affected his judgment. They knocked the verdict down to manslaughter because of that, causing riots in the city. Matt Damon is rumored to be playing the role of the murderer, Dan White.

And he totally killed Norris. :)

Penn totally rules.

Sorry to sound so much like a damned cheerleader. But it's pretty cool to have some great candidates.

attention. Benefits all of the candidates to have his wonderfully progressive ideas spotlighted like this.
