Edwards Pulls Ahead in Straw Poll (Roanoke College)
Edwards Pulls Ahead In Straw Poll
WSLS NewsChannel 10
Monday, December 9, 2007

----
Barack Obama and John Edwards tied in a straw poll held at Roanoke College on Sunday afternoon.

The two candidates tied the democratic presidential straw poll in front of democratic supporters. Each won about 24% of the first place votes.

But, Edwards was declared the winner by the event's host and the college's Young Democrats because Edwards had the most first and second choice votes.

Joe Biden finished in third place with 18%. Clinton and Kucinich each had 12%.

1. Good news for Edwards, Obama, Biden, and Kucinich. No so much for Clinton.

2. It seems that Edwards wins a lot of these straw polls
On CNN last Sunday, there was a woman on there that said a Union had a actual vote of about 300 of their members and not one vote was cast for Hillary. Edwards won it in a landslide.

7. This is good news-
There was a Salinas Straw Vote on Sunday-
1st - Obama - 33%
2nd - Clinton - 23%
3rd - Edwards - 17.5%
4th - Kucinich - 14%

The Remaining 12.5 %:
5th - Richardson
6th - Biden
7th - Gravel
8th - Dodd

Just shows that Edwards Supporters have some work to do in California.
