Kaine backs Obama, but says Webb would make good VP
==WILLIAMSBURG - Tim Kaine wouldn't say if he'd consider it, but he thinks Sen. Jim Webb D-Va., would make a great candidate for vice president. While campaigning for Philip Forgit on Saturday in Williamsburg, Gov. Timothy M. Kaine weighed in on the battle for the Democratic nomination for President.

Kaine gave an early endorsement to Sen. Barack Obama D-Ill., last February in Richmond. When asked about he felt the Iowa caucus would turn out Kaine said , "I think Barack is gonna win.

"I went out and campaigned in Iowa for him the weekend before Thanksgiving. I'm going back the weekend before Christmas. I have a lot of friends in Iowa who have been keeping me posted. I think that he's got the momentum at the right time. I think he's going to win on January third."

Webb recently was asked on NBC's Meet the Press if he would consider joining the Democratic ticket next year. He politely demured with a grinning face.

When asked about Webb's remarks and whether he himself would be interested in being Vice President Kaine said, " I think Jim Webb would be a great choice, that's my answer."==

3. I agree that Webb would make a good VP, although Barbara Boxer would be
quite an asset and bring the big CA vote.
