New CNN National Poll: Clinton 40%, Obama 30%, Edwards 14%.

The new CNN poll that came out today shows Clinton down 4% and Obama up 5% with Edwards remaining unchanged since early November. It was conducted from Dec. 6-9 and has a MOE of 3%

In the category of most likeable, Obama leads Hillary Clinton by a margin of 38%-29%

In the category of most likely to unite the Country, Obama holds a tiny lead over Clinton of 32%-30%

In the category of who is least likely to act like a politician if elected, Obama leads Clinton 35%-21%

But Hillary Clinton still is viewed as having the best chance to beat a republican with a wide margin over Obama of 53%-25%.

There is a 42% spread in favor Of Clinton in terms of experience, though that is down from the 51% spread in September.

In the category of most believable, Obama leads Clinton 34%-30%

A virtual Tie in the category of spending the least time criticizing other candidates with Clinton at 27% and Obama at 26%

In the category of who represents the values of democrats like the one surveyed goes to Clinton over Obama by a margin of 38%-29%

Hillary also leads Obama on who is most likely to keep the same positions on important issues by a 10 point margin.
