Rasmussen: Clinton 39, Obama 28, Edwards 10 |

Looks like the tightening in the race has been confirmed. The ball game will depend on the first two innings. Nice knowing you, John. http://rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_20082/2008_presidential_election/daily_presidential_tracking_poll

3. That site's pretty stinky. |

He hires Dick Morris to write columns? yeah, that's credible.
Really love those Ann Coulter ads, as well.

The number of polls needs to be brought under control.

Not really. The more the better. That makes averaging the polls easier and the result more useful.
5 or 6 polls taken in the same or very similar time frames work best. Look at the methodology and the population samples and try to see any similarities.
Look at outliers - a poll way too high and one way too low. Toss them. Then average the rest.
Got the number? Look at it. Smile or cry, and then toss it! It will be different tomorrow.
