in TX is in March. :wtf: I'll have to bitch a bit more! So, will you have any say in anything-will your vote count? If it does, I'm envious. And yes, I still plan on voting-because I can.

I hope you all like what we come up with. This is the last go-around for the "first in the nation" Iowa Caucus, so we better go out with a bang. Next cycle, we won't be first anymore.

they've seen or heard lately. Don't expect any out of the box thinkin from these here parts. So my vote essentially won't count, unless I'm voting with the herd.

46. Peggy - do you have to be registered as a Dem to vote for a Dem in the
Primary there? My best friend lives in LA and knowing him, he's registered as an Independent. I want to know if I need to get him to change party affiliations before the primary.

Thanks for any info -- and go Dennis!

That's why all this primary bitching cracks me up. Everybody can't go first and I really don't think we want to turn it into a national election were money really is all that matters. I can contribute money, volunteer to phone bank, write letters, etc. I trust the people in the rest of the country as much as I trust my own state.

I didn't know that and don't know if they will impact what will be happening.

39. Nice? Ha! I've never 'not' had one, so I can't say.
Yes, fun will be had by all unless the Yucatan turns into Hurricane Alley in February. If that happens, I'd probably try to make the best of it and say it was a fluke while totally agreeing with Al Gore, again, and.... melting!

I can't wait for the end of the horror, and I love my family; for all the foibles of all of us, they had better be worth it, or what is?

57. Actually
Its our first year for a caucus and our first year to be so soon in the process. Adds have just started to appear. Up until now its been fairly quiet. The candidates have all been here though several times. Nothing like Iowa though. I am looking forward too see what happens during the break between NH and US. there is I think an 11 day break in there and I expect to see a blitz during that.

I can only speak for my area, Columbia. Richland county is a blue island surrounded by a sea of red with pockets of purple. We showed Senator Obama lots of love last Sunday. I even volunteered and got to shake his hand!!! Whats so nice is that they showed that very moment on the NBC nightly news and I'm in the background during his speech on the video at: sc.barackobama.com

Primaries determine who gets the delegates, and even if the nominee's decided, the delegates decide what the party platform will be.
