1. The one thing the Hillary campaign does well is put up websites. |
|
They've got entire websites on how bad Hillary isn't.

well, I suspect that the answer is not one that the campaign likes to discuss.

Amazing with the other two candidates vying for the nomination, I don't recall anyone giving testimoney to the work they've done helping people. Except for Edwards, who is paid to represent plaintiffs.

2. Great video and a great moment for Hillary. Shows compassion |
|
Edited on Mon Dec-17-07 09:33 AM by EV_Ares
and the mother made the point that moment occurred out of sight and hearing of the media, just the two of them.
You can tell it is in sincerity.
Thanks for posting from a non-Hillary supporter.

10. so nice of her to list all 35 of her supporters. |
|
So, now that she is behind in Iowa, Bill comes out and says, "we never expected to win". When they lose their lead (which I believe they did this weekend) in NH, Bill will come out and say, "WIth her experience, she knows its a long road." When they become tied for second in SC, Bill will come out and say, "We are proud to have done as well as second here." And with each loss, they will try a different message, a different Hillary, a different result of a focus group.
nice find? Hah. Nice plant.

She is absolutely the worst possible candidate the dems can offer. Her performance this morning proved that.

She is very charismatic and likable in personal appearances.
However, I don't like what she stands for and who she is aligned with.

to give credit where it is due and watching Hillary's video there and the mother who appeared in it, was done very well, seemed genuine, empathy shown, sincerity very believable.
Good video and addressing a concern you know is felt by many other parents in this country.

16. I am sure she is a good person - compassionate, hard-working. I do not want her as Pres. |
|
Edited on Mon Dec-17-07 10:13 AM by IndyOp
Each of the videos is an anecdote -- her behavior toward individuals does not reflect her policy. She wants good things for people, but she is far too willing to compromise with powerful special interests to deliver.
The Dalai Lama was asked about George W. Bush and he commented that Bush was "Very, very nice man. Very nice." and he said the same about Mao Tse Tung. Adolf Hitler spent his final hours sitting on the floor with his dog Blondie and her new puppies. Persona does not reflect policy -- impact on the people around them.
I hate the aspect of politics in which a personality is sold to us as if, when they become President, they are going to be available to drop by for coffee and solve my neighbor's family health problems. Hillary's health plan will put our tax dollars in the pockets of uber-wealthy insurance corporations at exactly the time when we need to be spreading our health dollars more evenly among the people.
Personality spots like this ->

while there are some Clinton supporters who are over the top, I see that primarily as a reaction to the Hillary hate, which has been a constant here at DU from day one.
While Obama has some quality supporters on this board, I feel that, for the most part, he is served very poorly by the majority here at DU. Many of his supporters are overzealous, politically naive, and always resort to a personal attack first when challenged.
Just my opinion, and you may find it biased - but I felt that way before I decided to support HRC.
