Tucker just reported that Bob Kerrey said Obama attended a secular Madrasa on CNN
Im looking for a link to this, but Tucker just reported that 25 minutes ago in explaining himself Kerrey said Obama attended a secular Madrasa when he was younger. Hasnt this been debunked time and time again..by CNN of all people?

Different comment.. this entire show is about Hillary and Bill's attacks
on Obama, either personally or via surrogates.

Rove type smear. Don't blame Tucker he was merely repeating Kerrey's statement and faining outrage about it. It made news just as the Clintons hoped and the MSM is happy to repeat it.

Late October and now are two different things
For one thing, he is now a Clinton surrogate. Endorsers usually stick to emphasizing their candidate of choice. He has an awful lot to say about Obama. Much of it good, I might add, but it's an old trick to use the good stuff as a pretext for dropping in nasty code words (like madrassa, again, if true) that the candidate herself would never dare say.

28. I'm not sure yet.
Some are saying he repeated this in an interview but at the same time it could be Tucker rehashing these older comments.

32. No worries, BG.
They are rats on a sinking ship and they want to take down Obama far enough so Edwards will win Iowa. They know they won't win because
they are a far third as second choice. If Obama wins Iowa, Bill and Hillary know he'll be unstoppable so watch for more of this crap from
Clinton surrogates while Hillary softens her image (hoping to drive down her nosebleed negatives) with hokey videos of childhood friends
saying what a swell girl she was and still is. Did you know that, like Romney, Hillary supposedly "teared" up today while kicking off "The
Hillary I Know" campaign featuring her elementary school friends from Chicago, etc. and a website with tear-jerker video testimonials
from said friends? Doesn't that make her look "soft" and "likeable" now? :eyes:

~snip~

love that his name is Barack Hussein Obama; that he was educated for a while in a secular madrassa. He can speak like no other candidate to a billion Muslims on this earth and say we’re not your enemy unless you make us so.

26. Attending a religous Madrasa has been debunked. It seems that Madrasa literally means "school".
So by saying Obama attended a secular Madrasa Kerry steered at least technically clear of the prior debunking. It's interesting, I actually agree with Kerry about the positive effect Obama's eclectic background can bring the United States if he becomes our President, including with Muslims specifically, and they are a pretty important part of the world community right about now. But I am not blind to the fact that nuances can easily be missed and messages twisted in the inflamed current domestic context what with a "war on terror" etc. constantly in the news. In a literal thoughtful context this was actually flattering to Obama - the argument is one that would incline ME more to vote for Obama. But I doubt I'm a typical voter. I might need to research Bob Kerry a lot more before I would have enough of a handle on how he operates, what he talks about in public, and why he does so, to reach a final conclusion about this.

On the surface I agree Kerry's comments, even if one believed they were well intentioned, are probably not what Obama needs to have discussed right now (though in fairness I should note that Obama himself brought up his experiences in Indonesia as a child as relevent in a positive way toward his qualifications to become President). I understand the suspicions of the Obama camp about this, I'll at least say that.

31. I said this on another post about Bob Kerry's Vomit against Obama...so here's a repeat.:
I saw Kerry Vomiting that Propaganda Spew on CNN. I'm not an Obama supporter but it was so OTT

it made me sick. CNN's John King filling in for Blitzer did make a point of saying: "You are a supporter of Senator Clinton" but it didn't counteract the vomitous "Talking Poings" Bob Kerry spewed out against Obama. It was Clinton talking points. It makes me wonder if the Clinton/Bob Kerry folks were the ones going after Gore in 2000 about his "earth tones" and "flip flopping" and the rest of the crap that was skewed about Gore. We here all blame Rove...but does anyone think that Karl Rove put a wire in Bob Kerry's ear and told him to spew those insinuations about Obama? No, Bob Kerry didn't need Karl Rove he had the Clinton's OP's Rove Machine (probably Carville) doing the work for him...

Anyway...I'm a Kucinich/Gore supporter but have no tolerance for insinuations like what Kerry did. Kerry's always been a Lieberman DINO... Sorry to see him show his turncoat face now ...involving himself in this election. Our DINO's are our Worst Enemy. More snakelike and lethal than the Repugs.
