Poll question: I propose a 36 hour truce
Monday Noon until Tuesday Midnight

We all need a mental break from our ad nauseum back and forth which likely only hardens position and I think everyone is a bit too angry,

Yes it is an incredibly important election, but so are our families. The Campaigns are taking a short break. So should we.

1. No! Separation of Church and DU.
Establishing Christmas as a time of peace, I will not recognize Christmas!

2. This is biased in favor people who celebrate Christmas.
Did you take a break for Hanukkah?

Did you take a break for Kwanzaa?

3. I say no
We'll have plenty of time to sing Kumbiya after the primaries and sometimes I find relief here from fighting with my family!

7. Incredible how such a headline can be so contentious
I'm so glad my primary is irrelevant and I have stayed on the periphery of the primary pileons.

What I want for Christmas - UNITY BY EVERYBODY HERE AFTER HE HAVE A NOMINEE, REGARDLESS OF WHOM THAT MIGHT BE.

8. I suggest that if you want a break
don't log on.

That's what I expect I'll be doing.

12. Your best bet is to avoid this place during that period, or only hang out on apolitical forums.

13. To some, confrontation is only reason they're here.
To ask them to take a break would be asking them to give up their favorite activity.

16. Go ahead if you want, but
not everyone does the "family thing" on Christmas, and some who do, need the break. Imagine the miserable people who have to spend time with their Republican relatives. The kind thing to do is keep the discussion going; they need some fellowship with fellow Democrats.
