Obama to Hillary: "Bill Clinton's advisers prefer me."
WASHINGTON, Iowa (AP) — Barack Obama said Friday that even if Democratic rival Hillary Rodham Clinton doesn't think he has the right foreign policy credentials to be president, many of her husband's former advisers do and are supporting him instead of her.

"In fact, you could argue that there are more foreign policy experts from the Clinton administration supporting me than Senator Clinton," Obama said. He added that "should raise some pretty interesting questions."

"Why is the national security adviser of Bill Clinton, the secretary of the Navy of Bill Clinton, the assistant secretary of state for Bill Clinton, why are all these people endorsing me?" he said. "And it's not just because I give a good speech. They apparently believe that my vision of foreign policy is better suited for the 21st century and is not caught up in the politics of fear that we've been seeing out of George Bush for the last seven years."

Actually it does, since these are Clinton advisors who think Hillary is WRONG on foreign policy.
Nice to see some people are able to admit that, even if you aren't.

8. No, he isn't. There's no evidence to back up Obama's assertions.
UPDATE: The Obama campaign doesn't have any clear evidence for his tentative claim, but does send over a New York Times Magazine piece in which an unnamed foreign policy insider suggests that most Democratic foreign policy hands back Obama.

26. Like the article said, "the Obama campaign doesn't have any clear evidence"
so how was I backing up its claim? They cited an allusion from an unnamed source, nothing concrete.

Obama isn't 'making' them pick a side. The advisors know who will win and why. That's irony!

44. Actually, no. Of course they don't know who will win.
Why do people keep making these kinds of claims? Crystal balls they do not have, and neither do DUers. Why not just leave it at Obama has an excellent foreign policy team? He does. It's impressive. I'd take Anthony Lake and Samantha Power in a dem administration is a heartbeat.

39. well for one there is Bill, then Albright, ,Dalton,Feinstein
Indyk,Kerrick,West,Clark,Holbrooke..just to name a few.

Yes 47 is impressive but these are mostly second tier former members in the clinton administration. If you notice the top ones are with HRC and I suspect in both campaigns all are maybe wanting a position in their cabinet....

I will stay with HRC and her advisors......

And FWIW, Ben David always passes judgment, always pro-Clinton. It's okay as far as it goes until he starts attacking for no real reason.
There are some angry people on here. Go figure.

And may the best person be our next president!

34. Speaking of passing judgment
Aren't you always pro-Obama. I mean, it's what we do here. Being in favor of a candidate tends to make one supportive of that candidate, wouldn't you agree.

From what I can see, BenDavid was just citing some facts there, so what were you saying about attacking for no real reason?

Obama claims more former Clinton foreign policy advisor support than Hillary - gets busted by the AP

WASHINGTON, Iowa - Barack Obama suggested Friday that he has more foreign policy experts from the Clinton administration backing his candidacy over Hillary Rodham Clinton's, but lists provided by both campaigns show hers is nearly twice as long.

Clinton's campaign provided more than 80 names of her husband's former foreign policy advisers who are publicly backing her, while Obama's campaign provided 47.
