Edwards Gets Demerits for Tardiness on the Trail--
John Edwards is routinely tardy to his campaign events.

I'd like to know the size of the crowds the other candidates are getting. Seems like huge crowds are desperate to hear Edward's message about corporate irresponsibilty (say like Judith Miller's et al).

2. I guess the press is getting desperate in things to bash Edwards with.
With all the energy and positive press, they had to run SOMETHING negative...

Yawn.

John aspires to be our president.

So he's a bit late from time to time.

5. Des Moines Register and potential FCC deregulation...corporate $
Edited on Wed Dec-26-07 01:46 PM by EVDebs
Coweles Media Company

owns the Register. The NYTimes corporation owns many affiliates (as in my community) around the US, and may want more. A pliant FCC would allow for that...do you think this is what is behind some of this 'reporting' ????

New York Times, and a list of affiliates

You vill think az ve zay you vill think.

Maybe 'what's wrong with this picture', corporate control of the media is behind finding a way to silence the audacity of a candidate who actually might LIMIT the corporate control of the media. It's a daunting task and only a highly trained lawyer like Edwards could shrewdly battle this monolithic Lord Sauron.

See links at

and see what I'm talking about.

6. What a pissy article :(
At least he shows up. A true supporter doesn't let this bother them, unfortunately Ms.Bosman found two cranky people to support her headline.

After a Google of her previous articles, she does appear to be an equal opportunity shallow whiner about all the candidates. No wonder people are finding the NYT annoying.

7. My point too. Eugene V. Debs back in the day got similar press coverage I suppose
As did William Jennings Bryan. These guys can only be in one place at a time and when people are desparate to hear the message you tend to stay. I'm amazed at hearing the size of the crowds he's getting. Packed houses !
