Any illusion that AP is fair or unbiased certainly went out the window today. They report on the Bhutto assassination, including the Chimp soundbite, of course. Then they followup by claiming that "presidential candidates" have also reacted to the murder, but the only one they mention is 9u11ani, who of course used the occasion to shill for more wars on "terra", (because his foreign policy advisers are the wing of PNAC that was too crazy for even the Bush Crime Family)

I know that the Greens cut AAR's own news to save money, but isn't there some fucking radio news out there that isn't so BLATANTLY shilling. Fuck, run the CBC news if you have to.

2. the AP probably has access
to those in the field who can report back the news of the day. I'm not sure -- and you can correct me if I'm wrong -- that AAR, NovaM and the other "progressive" radio stations don't necessarily have it in their budgets to have the presence that AP already has. In the interest of providing some news, I'm sure it's easier -- and less expensive -- for them to turn to an established source.

3. They should be playing FreeSpeech Radio News!
New York's AAR station plays FreeSpeech Radio news instead of AP -- and it is much better.

Phoenix AAR (KPHX) plays AP and it sucks -- I have to keep hitting the mute button on my keyboard to block out Bush.

:puke:

Cognitive dissonance radio.

5. I hate AP News, as it tends to parrot the rightwing slant ..
I say this because I DO read the rightwing news sites daily - the ones that tend to illuminate what the daily hardright talking points are.

That's just my humble opinion.

I tend to turn the radio to another channel when AP News comes on.
