I have neve disliked GDP more than today. |

It's such a damn sad day today. I can't believe people are using Benazir Bhutto as a political football. I just wish this weren't going on. Her body isn't even cold, and all some people can do is play game over her corpse.

It appears that your candidate was the one trying to make political hay when he blamed Hillary for Bhutto's assassination. Said her IWR vote was direct cause and effect to Bhutto's death.
That was a disgusting thing for the Obama campaign to say and it shows that Obama can say anything he wants to and he'll never have to answer for it.
Obama can say anything he damn well pleases and when asked about it by Wolf Blitzer on CNN he starts spinning what Axlerod said and rudely interupted Blitzer when Wolf started to read Axlewood's comments. Obama didn't want anybody to hear what Axlerod said and that's understandable because Axlerod is a dickwad. If Hillary tried to do that she'd be swarmed by Obamabats trying to suck her blood.
Try to be a bit more balanced in your comments instead of going off on everybody not supporting Obama. Posts against Axlerod's outrageous comments are going to increase because a lot of people are pissed off about it, as well they should be.

The Iraq war distracted us from the fight against the VERY SAME PEOPLE who committed this assassination, and we KNEW a stonger, resurgent AL-Qaeda would be the result. WE KNEW IT!
This is like Huckabee pardoning that murdering rapist, despite the pleas of the victims, only to watch him murder and rape again. Only this is a thousand times worse. This stupid Iraq is a monumental fuck up, and every new day proves it.

with this thread.
And in fact, Axelrod was right. Hillary voting for the Iraq War was the wrong call, and going to Iraq is what doomed the war in Afghanistan, let OBL and extremists free to roam in Pakistan, and now those extremists or maybe the ISI itself killed Bhutto.
Hillary didn't give that much weight however, she instead listened to Condi Rice, who convinced her to vote YES, and to husband Bill, who was counseling her to vote YES as well. She gave almighty power to Dick Cheney and now says she was deceived? Give me a break!
Not a good day for Hillary today as it will bring up her vote for war in Iraq in the last 7 days. Really quite a disaster, for her and Edwards, as he co-sponsored the whole mess.
If Axelrod had not said what he said, the MSM would be all "Oh now we really need Hillary" -- so good that Obama gets the truthful meme out there, that she voted for the wrong war, and mostly because of that Pakistan is still unstable.
Let's not forget either that Bill Clinton let Mushareff take control of Pakistan in 1999 and kick Sharif and Bhutto out without a big fuss, so really it's his fault too Pakistan is in the current mess.
Now the voters will decide.

33. wait a minute: why are you blaming only Clinton? Every candidate |
|
except Kucinich voted for IWR.
And Obama--admitted he did not know if he would have voted for it--and has voted for every Iraq funding since.
So, this is a bunch of BS.
Clinton took the high road, and Axelrod attempted to blame Clinton and let his guy get off without accountability for his actions.

60. I wish to interject something here. It has been a tragic day... |
|
assassination should never be taken lightly, and in the case Bhutto, there could be worldwide ramifications. I do not think it is a bad idea to show some respect for someone who might have poured oil on the waters of discontent.
Some people have shown more respect for DU'ers pets that have died than they have for this intelligent and dignified woman...do we really want to look like the vermin that the R's are?
For those of you who seem to find fault with a thread that is trying to show respect, you need not post in this, or any other thread. On many occasions I have passed over threads that I do not particularly care for, it is called "discretion". I ask that people use such, and not try to make a bad situation even worse.
Thank you.
