This is just fucking sick. Trying to profit politically from this assassination, only hours after it happened, is just sick. I just left the home of two Pakistani friends, that were there in the 90's, and they are devastated. If they saw what we are doing here today, they'd be twice devastated.

Please give it a rest. We can wait 24 hours. I'm not trying to be the DU police here or anything thing like that, but come on people. We can discuss the crime, we can talk about the leader Benazir Bhutto was, but can we please, just wait a while before making political hay out of it?
I'm just talking common human decency.

I'm sure I'm not the first to post this, there are a lot of good people here.

I was visibly upset. I have no connection to Pakistan. Don't know anyone from there. I can only imagine that if I was alive during the JFK assassination that I would have felt the same way that I did this morning.

I'm thinking this is a pretty pivotal moment in the world right now. I think we need to really sit down, think before we act, and determine which course we need to take. We need to make absolutely sure that we take the appropriate course.

For some reason, I think we are at a crossroads.

I don't get visibly upset at just anything. I just remember while I was getting ready for work and hearing it on TV, I just stopped what I was doing and sat down staring and dumbfounded.

Everything is political in the midst of a heated election and that invokes all kinds of inappropriate behavior as it is. I try to filter that out and focus on the magnitude and implications of this heinous crime. Cheers to you for speaking up which in itself is a lovely tribute to this courageous woman.
