NY Times: DM Register poll likely to influence undecided voters!!
This is why the Clinton campaign and Edwards folks are imploding. It almost doesn't matter whether the methodology was right or not. The fact is that the DMR poll is the most respected of all polls and carries a lot of weight with Iowa voters. This poll result may put Obama over the top as undecideds will go with the winner at the end.

"Still, the Register poll could influence how caucus-goers view the line-up; a strong lead by one candidate could signal to those who are undecided where the momentum and the smart money lies."

1. Actually, it may make Obama voters complacent,
and that may be its purpose. It's a weird poll because of the percentages of Republicans and Independents that they included.

I don't think polls mean much in Iowa. Didn't Dean poll really high before the Iowa caucus and then not do as well as expected?

I think there are a lot of factors that can't be polled in this contest. We shall just wait and see.

I'm proud of the way Edwards is connecting with his crowds and answering questions. I personally think he is the best candidate. He communicates the best in my opinion and has the best message. He is speaking to Americans, and I think his message will reach across party lines and appeal to Republican voters, especially rural Republican voters if he wins the nomination.

Edwards message, however, is not one that the usual Democratic primary voters are used to hearing. So, that could be a disadvantage for him. Nevertheless, I think he has the right message to take to America.

3. Dean polled high --- until the last 2 polls showed Kerry in the lead
And while I'm stoked at Barack's results tonight, no way I'll get my hopes up that the actual outcome on Thursday to echo that poll.

What I don't understand though ------- is all the fuss here tonight by HRC supporters about that poll's results.

If there hadn't been so many ridiculous threads like: "New Iowa Poll....... Obama crashes badly"

And continual polls all day that Barack should step out if he comes in #3.

So then we take a moment to celebrate the DM Register's Polls... they jumped all over us and continue sending crap like:

2. If the "Edwards folks" were imploding
They'd be going on attack mode as the Oprahbama camp has been for the past few days.

4. I'm for Edwards because he is for me.
It's as simple as that. He is the only candidate who really speaks about directly and succinctly about my frustrations and terrific disappointment in the direction that America has taken in recent years. He is the only one that I have heard say out loud that Bush lied. I haven't heard that from any other candidate. Has Ob ama said it? Has Hillary said it? Has Bidden said it? Any of the others? Edwards is the only one who has pronounced the words Bush and lied in the same sentence. And that means a lot to me. Cinch may have said it, and I also like him a lot, but I just don't think he has the voice to be elected. Sorry, tenors of the world. A soprano would have an easier time getting elected in this country than a tenor would.
