I can't wait to see who Ron Paul throws his support behind, if and when he drops out at some point |
|
and if he didn't run as a third party. There is no way he would throw it behind any of his fellow pukes, would he?

7. Yes, I think so, too, despite his dark past that's been discussed here often. |

3. I've heard him say that he couldn't support any of the other Republicans... |
|
...at least for now ~ he'd like some of them to pick up on his issues.

Maybe it's not too late, and he's been their guy before.

14. He's not going to drop out... .... Won't happen. |
|
If he loses the Republican nomination, he will be drafted by the Libertarian Party or the Constitution Party or both. The Constitution Party has an organization in all 50 states while the Libertarians do not. Both of these are having "place holders" ready to give over their nomination in favor of Paul. In either case, he will be presented as a populist, grassroots American candidate. A real wild card.
Philosophically he will never endorse any Democrat, although he's on good personal terms with DK. He will not endorse any of the Republicans either, unless they radically change their positions on a lot more than the war, and that has a snowball's chance of happening. He has expressed some support for Chuck Hagel in the past, but Hagel isn't running.......yet. His main interest has always been economics, and he's totally out of synch with the orthodox line of both the present Democratic and Republican parties. The mainline parties suppose that they will benefit from getting rid of him, but the silver lining will be the destruction and crippling of the neocon Republican Party. Maybe also the neoliberal interventionist faction of the Democratic Party. High time.

15. Ron Paul might return to the Libertarian party |
|
With the amount of money he's raised in recent months, you think they're gonna turn him down? I'm sure their perennial candidate Harry Browne (or whatever his name is) would be willing to take a back seat to a candidate who actually had a chance of shaving off some Republican votes.
