My prediction: Obama, Edwards, Clinton
for Iowa. For New Hampshire, it's Obama, Clinton, Edwards. For SC, it's Clinton, Obama, Edwards and then Hillary moves to the front delegate-wise during Super Tuesday locking in the Nomination during mid- to late-March.

1. If Obama wins Iowa and NH, he definitely wins SC.
Black people want to vote for Hillary or Obama. If Obama is seen as electable, black people will vote for him. And, African-Americans make up half of Democratic votes in SC.

3. There is no way that she loses the first two to Obama and recovers
Edited on Thu Jan-03-08 10:36 AM by Wolsh
She has to win one or the other to have a chance. She loses both and Obama rides the wave right on through Feb 5th.

11. I don't see that as certain - IA & SC are expected - a 2nd in NH does nothing much- 2/5 will settle
the debates - Obama or Edwards will challenge her on 2/5 and it will be close (Edwards if he wins NH after a win or close second in IA).

4. Does anyone remember what the polls showed at this time last primary?
I just really feel like Edwards is going to surprise everyone, and if he doesn't win, he'll at least be a very close 2nd.

10. Obama
If he wins tonight he probally wins New Hampshere(also support for him may hurt Mccain there)
and he may win Nevada(the last poll had him 8 points behind Hillary up from a double diget defecit)
and he wins South Carolina.Hillary will win the beauty contest In Michigan, and then we will see what
happens In the beauty contest In Florida does.Obama has the money to fight with Hillary on Feburary
5.Early contests can affect later states.

5. I just really don't want Hillary to win Iowa
history shows that Iowa doesn't often pick the actual Nominee. I'm beginning to see it as the Kiss of Death!

She may pull out a close one in NH and/or SC. But I think the first three contests -- at least -- will be decidedly undecided as far as no one candidate having a clear advantage or HUGE win. Unlike in years past, I suspect we may not know who the Nominee is until March.

That was the only point I was trying to make with the OP.

6. Wishful thinking man. Iowa has picked up to much importance
and with the tight schedule, momentum is going to be everything.

It's a powder keg ready to explode for Obama.
