New Huckabee Scandal!
Huckabee Campaigner and Minuteman threatening e-mail Scandal

January 03, 2008
The Huckabee campaign faces national scandal today, as recent e-mails sent by Minuteman Co-Founder and Huckabee campaign member Jim Gilchrist are released that threaten to malign another leader with false accusations of child molestation, pedophilia, embezzlement, and thievery!

The e-mail threat was received by Brook Young of the organization Immigration Watchdog, who is one of the 84 leaders who signed an open letter opposing the Gilchrist endorsement of Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.

Jim Gilchrist has endorsed Mike Huckabee and has been traveling on the Huckabee campaign media bus across Iowa making speeches of support at Huckabee's side, at campaign press conferences and events. Gilchrist has also been on numerous talk radio shows promoting the Huckabee campaign as a highly visible part of the campaign in the national media.

"It is completely outrageous that a person so highly involved with the Huckabee campaign is sending e-mails threatening to malign an opposing organization leader with false accusations of child molestation," says William Gheen of ALIPAC. "Huckabee and Gilchrist need to explain why a Presidential campaign is involved in these kinds of documented threats and vile mud slinging."

When people campaigns start to feel threatened they start to attack. Add to that the corruption of the GOP and you get things like this - remember McCain and Bush in 2000?

I wonder who the rumors were about - being Huckabee he will fall back on his ignorance claim again (Like he did last night with the strike - or with Mormon beliefs )

2. Isn't this just "business as usual" for Republicans?
Normally they are trashing Democrats, but sometimes don't they eat their own as well?

8. No.
If it was Republican "business as usual" the accusations wouldn't be false.

13. You mean like the Swift boating of John Kerry?
Not a lot of truth there.

The GOP doesn't care if it's the truth or a lie. If they can use it, they will. And they've got lots of dolts to do their dirty work for them, like Rush Limpballs and Sean Insanity.

14. You misunderstood me.
I meant there would really be molestation, pedophilia, and embezzlement.

Whereas this sounds more like classic swiftboat tactics.

Huckabee will fade away after Iowa.

4. Huckabee is a Hick - no surprise
he has a low life doing his bidding.

Gomer is gone in a month - too bad -- would be so much fun to crush him.

6. Christy Harvey just mentioned "fake Christmas cards", that were
supposedly sent to Republicans in South Carolina by Mitt Romney and family which showed pictures of Mormon temples and bible quotes about God granting man the power to have multiple wives!!

Am I paranoid for thinking this has the taint of Huckabee all over it?

--This is why McCain and Huck are colluding--Huck is going to do the dirty work to swiftboat Romney, and McCain will reap the benefit and make Hucky VP, I'll bet. That's my prediction.

11. Nobody's been dirtier than Huck so far on the Repub side.
Starting with anti-Catholic mailers to thwart Sam Brownback during the Ames Straw Poll, to the "Jesus/Lucifer brothers" thing, to the faux Romney Christmas cards, to the "Christian Leader" ads, to the negative ads that he wasn't going to air...Huckabee is pure evil, and McCain is yucking it up. McCain is ruthless.

12. Sorry y'all, but my B.S. detector is going wild.
This is more bizarre and inflammatory than even KKKarl ever put out, and he fabricated some real stinkers.
