I just watched Mitt Romney say..
You know, when I hear John Edwards say that there are two Americas, I... well, I want to say an expletive like... "Baloney!" Because there's only ONE America!
How disingenuous and dumb can you get?
Edwards said in 2004:
Today, under George W. Bush, there are two Americas, not one: One America that does the work, another that reaps the reward. One America that pays the taxes, another America that gets the tax breaks. One America - middle-class America - whose needs Washington has long forgotten, another America - narrow-interest America - whose every wish is Washington's command. One America that is struggling to get by, another America that can buy anything it wants, even a Congress and a president.
With CEO pay skyrocketing, while the middle-class watches their jobs shipped overseas, does Million Dollar Mitt actually
believe that there's no difference in this country between the millionaires and the middle-class?
Baloney!
Maybe Mitt forgot that Edwards has made the idea that we are all, indeed, One America, the
theme of his entire campaign? (It's on the front page of JohnEdwards.com, for Pete's sake.) Looks like we have to say "Baloney!" to that idea, too.
Is Mitt just trying to stir up shit by misrepresenting his opponents, as he's done time and time again? Time for another b-word...
BINGO.
