Amazing stats tonight as per MSNBC ~
1. In 2004 Democrats had 120K turn out to caucaus - tonight it's OVER 200 THOUSAND!
2. Democrats came out in TWICE THE NUMERS as Republicans!

If this is a trend, we're going to turn the entire US BLUE!

I'm ecstatic! Congrats to Obama supporters!

Tonight, I have changed my mind on the notion of Obama's 'electability' I think that he can not only win, he can kick some serious arse!

:toast: to Democracy!

1. He brings the middle to him
He does not compromise or negotiate, he brings people to his point of view because he just wants to work for the people and the country.

7. I think he will be a good leader
I would have been happy with any of them except one, but I think Obama can really shake things up and get us on the right path again.

13. I'd be MORE than happy to support him come November.

It was a near toss up for me between him and Edwards, but Edwards platform won me over. That said, I AM happy as heck for those who support Mr. O.

4. Between the two of them
and even Huckleberry, people are standing up for themselves and that's the most important thing.

5. I'm an Edwards supporter, but congrats to Sen. Obama......
but I have to say that "some" Obama & Clinton supporters on this board can be mean spirited & downright unpleasant at times. I usually try to stay away from the really nasty threads, but I would hope that this victory will give Obama & Hillary supporters cause to be more gracious in the future. This is, by no means, over yet.

9. It has just started
I too am an Edwards supporter, and wish to congratulate Obama and his supporters, but as you said it isn't over yet. None of the two three will be dropping out, and it's still a long way to the end.

The really great thing about tonight was the turnout!

8. Blue or Blue Dog? We are talking about a rural, white, evangelical,
homophobic, conservative state with less population than a mid size city.

11. Isn't it amazing that a rural, white, evangelical state had such a turn out and elected
a 'black' male for President. I'm glad you are as optimistic as I. ;)

15. Young people have traditionally been the "most apathetic" in terms
of voter turnout - tonight, conventional wisdom got completely thrown into the shredder!!! I think they're just starting to realize the power they have in their hands!!!

17. Indeed, I heard that 20% of the caucaus voters were 'young' voters.
That's up 3% from the actual 04 election!
