Edwards is by far the most liberal of the top three, but he got the least liberal votes and the most conservative.
That's bizarre.

People may be less socially liberal, but more interested in the effect of corporations on job and the economy. Really, these people may be a little Reagan Democratic.
Some people base their definition of "liberal" on social issues; others on economic.
Edwards, of course, is liberal on both definitions; Obama, less so on the latter.
