2. I found the stats on "Size of Community" quite interesting.
U/SU/R =42/27/31

Urban voted for Obama by a wide majority; Suburban also went to Obama, but only barely; Clinton squeaked through with Rural.

This may be off topic, but there are 364 metropolitan areas in the US, from the New York area (18 million) down to Carson City, NV (approx. 55,000). And 86% of the country currently lives in one.

If it wasn't for the Electoral College, the Rural vote wouldn't matter at all.

7. Tell us that when you need us rural Democrats
to canvas, donate and vote.

Tell us that when we walk down every lane and every gravel road.

Tell us that when we haul our people to the polls.

Tell us that when we visit every college student and every snowbird who might request an absentee ballot.

Tell us that when you need us in a close election.

Most of us rural Democrats live in red areas, so we have to fight for every vote. So yes, tell us that we don't matter, while our country moves closer to fascism every day.

5. Talk about a generational gap.
It is amazing how much stronger Obama is with the <45 years olds.
