An Apology from People circulating the "Obama email"

I took the good advice from people on this board and emailed the entire Fwd:Fwd list from whence the nasty email came. I got this apology from one group and have not heard back from the Mission Group yet.

"I checked Snopes myself and there is no proof supporting this article. Please ignore and forgive me for forwarding something I didn't check personally that is attempting to hurt someone's reputation."

Good people WILL listen to reason. Please, please keep the following links handy and debunk this garbage as soon as you get it.

3. Yet these "good" people were scared witless by the idea of someone

promoting a "Black Africa" agenda in this country when they thought the letter was true. I find that disturbing.

It's the standard response I get in any political e-mail from right-leaning family members. They don't check anything to see whether or not it's true, they just forward it along to everyone on their list with a note that says, "Please ignore if not true". Ugh.
