Should the Obama campaign respond to the lie about the pharmaceutical lobbyist or hope it goes away?

The media has been giving Obama pretty much of a pass, so it's possible this story won't get much play. Should they simply lie low and see if they can ride out the momentum to a victory in NH or try to explain why Obama lied during the debate?

I used to teach a beginning speech/theatre class...we talked a lot about the way rhetoric and spectacle are used in politics. I had him pegged early on. He's done nothing to change that early opinion.

I can only hope that this special Obama curve will continue if he is our nominee. I think it will if Romney or Huckabee win but won't if McCain or Guiliani win the GOP nod.
