Ideally, the best presidential candidate would be...
the one that would lead to the biggest victory in the House and Senate. After all, all spending bills originate in the House. As long as the President agreed with the House and Senate, all he would need to do would be to sign the bills that the Congress passes. Other than that, all he has to do is be the Commander in Chief, which he can get a good VP to help him with that part of the job. Otherwise, in my opinion, it is not really a big deal who wins the Presidency. Most of the reforms that we need to happen need to be passed by the House and Senate. That is where we need to get the numbers. For me, I would like for our nominee to be the one that would best help us increase our numbers in the Congress and would then pressure the Congress to pass his agenda.
