Which Pres/VP combo would you prefer? |
|
Since we must always be looking toward the finish line, I have to ask: Which democratic ticket would you prefer?
Personally I would go: Kucinich/Obama
But realistically: Obama/Edwards
Any ideas?

He can do more and is more powerful as a senator. I don't think Biden would be interested in VP.

....it would be Edwards/Clark, but if things hold the way they are Obama/Edwards. How would John react to being VP again on the ticket or does he care?
My ultimate dream ticket would have been Gore/Dean in '08.

11. Gore/Feingold or now, Obama/Feingold. But we'll probably get Obama/Richardson. |

Unfortunately, Obama picking Bill "Homosexuality is a choice" Richardson will not help him with gay voters.

15. If they don't make the top of the ticket, I'd hate to put Obama or Edwards in the VP slot |
|
Imagine either one as AG.
A justice department that fights for the little guy? A justice department that fights for civil rights and the Constitution? It would be an RFK moment for either of them.
Gotta say, we have a deep bench right now. VP may not be the best place to use their talents. We can tap those guys for so much more.

17. Has anyone ever run for Vice President a second time after "losing" the first time ? Obama / Graham |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-07-08 04:22 AM by Bombtrack
quotes around losing because I don't wanna get on the subject of election fraud.
Anyway I don't know of any case where that happened and I doubt Edwards would be the first.
He'd make a great Atty. General in the Obama admin though.
My dream runningmate for Obama would be Bob Graham, but whenever I bring him up people jump on me about him being too old and/or unhealthy. I've heard no news about ill health with him since he had some procedure in 2003 and he's the same age as McCain, born in '36.

Clinton/Clark Clinton/'Rocky Mountain West' Governor Obama/'Rocky Mountain West' Governor
I don't see Edwards as a good VP prospect, especially if you employ regional strategies. The South is going to be tough to win over, and impossible if Huckabee is the GOP nom. And I'm not confident on Edwards's debating skills. I also think Edwards brings a lot of liabilities to the table (such as the Hedge Fund, just wait until the M$M decides home in on that). Plus I think the idea of two Senators on the ticket is not going to fly too terribly well.

21. Edwards top of ticket and a surprise VP choice |
|
I want Edwards to be the nominee. That said, I don't think he'd choose someone who isn't as passionate as he is about taking on the special interests. That's not going to be Obama, or any of the DLC type Dems. I think you'll see a surprising choice for VP if Edwards wins the top spot.

There is so much work to be done that we need strong people at the top who can share a workload and who share a common vision, and I think these two men can accomplish much together.

He's young and tough and I've always liked his overall message the best. It's a little naive and low on practical details, but it's a message I'm in tune with and one I think would do a Hillary Administration the most good.
John Edwards would make a good VP for Hillary, and it would do him good in the experience dept.
