Even non political junkies are picking up on the MSM's bias against Edwards.
As I dropped my kids off at school today, one of the teachers (I know to be a Democrat) came up to me and asked what was up with how the media is ignoring John Edwards. I responded that only a few corporations control almost the entire main stream media and they do not like his message. He stated "well it's an important message that needs to get out".

This is going to seriously back fire on the media. We know not to trust them as a source but when the rest of the public figures out what they are up to-they will lose credibility with the rest of the population as well.

1. ignoring?
Is it the MSM ignoring him, or is it the majority of voters?

Also, is Edwards' message toward corporations really that much different from HRC's or Obama's to make him the sole target of media blacklist? All have spoken out about the need for the government to play a bigger role and obscene corporate profits (remember HRC's comment of "I want to take those profits" when discussing the oil companies?).

3. Someone here did an analysis of networks mentions candidates before and after
Iowa (sorry I didn't save it but it was complete with graphs) and in both Edwards was given much less exposure but even more after Iowa after finishing second.

Is his message much different than the other? I hope you forgot the sarcasm notation. Edwards' message is the antithesis of Clinton's and much stronger than Obama's in regards to perceiving corporatism and the inequality of wealth distribution as a major threat to this country.

5. I think you're getting blinded by the corporate media's spin...
Also, is Edwards' message toward corporations really that much different from HRC's or Obama's to make him the sole target of media blacklist?

YES, if you've been paying attention to what he's been saying and what they are saying, and what they are DOING in terms of their relations with corporations it is QUITE different! Of course the corporate media are doing their damndest to blur these lines and focus more on stylistic comparisons of them rather than substantive comparisons.

- Which of these three have gone to public financing and don't take money from lobbyists?
- Which of these three have been having quite a friendly relationship with notable media consolidation proponent and controller Rupert Murdoch?...
- Which of these three have been pushing the coal industry lobby's latest efforts to shift the energy industry's focus towards liquified coal, which is probably as harmful as other fossil fuels to the environment and won't help us solve our global warming crisis?

The media doesn't tell you about these issues to make it SOUND like they are all the same. Do your own research and you WILL see the difference!

The Democratic Party is a BIG TENT, but there is NO ROOM for those
who advance the agenda of THE RICH (Corporate Owners) at the EXPENSE of LABOR and the POOR.

2. Think of how many stories they've blacked out in the past several years....
...John Edwards is just another one of them, to them.

4. mod mom,
I don't know because I haven't followed Edwards, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised; they've ignored Biden, Dodd and Richardson forever.

For those who are unaware of the media's active biases, here's some information:

"Immediately after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto the front page story in the Washington Post about Pakistan and the presidential campaign did not even mention Joe Biden, the only candidate who seriously distinguished himself on the Pakistan crisis.
Upon reflection, the Washington Post editorial page, which has supported Bush on the Iraq war as Pravda supported Leonid Brezhnev, followed up with a lead editorial on candidates and Pakistan, which, incredibly, did not even acknowledge of Joe Biden.

Here is why the major media, including the daily newspapers, has lost such credibility with the American people and in the case of insider print media, so many subscribers who moved their business to internet sites, including this one.

It is not only Biden. The insider political media is now embedded with, and morphed into, the insider political classes to the point where they part of the same beast. The insider political reporters have moved beyond the courtiers that Stephen Colbert so brilliantly satired two White House correspondents dinners ago; and have fully joined the home team of the insider Washington establishment.

This class decided a year ago which candidate was inevitable, and which candidates were exiled into the insider media gulag, destined to disappear as though they never existed." >>>

Stick up for Dennis in the debates, dummy! Did you really not get that you would be next? Your supporters see it happening already. Make media an issue!
