Did Hillary peak too early?
Obama's surge slowly started early in November, and it took off at the beginning of December, and the momentum is in full force now.

Hillary, however, seemed to peak in the late summer, with her momentum at its peak in August, September and early October...

Is this a case of a candidate peaking at the wrong moment and another one peaking at the right time?

2. It was like the dot com bubble.
Inflated by the media with no substance behind it.

3. I think what was perceived as solid support for her was simply name recognition.

6. I must admit, I sorta believed the Inevitability thing for awhile.
Not because I necessarily thought she had a lot of support (just talking to fellow liberals here in Portland showed me how disliked she was by both sides), but because I thought the combination of the Dem. Establishment + Corp. media would be able to pull the strings to install her as the nominee.

7. When She Finally Slipped, Obama Had Laid The Groundwork
For gaining on her weakness without having to go nasty by promoting his own strengths. Her campaign proved remarkably brittle and unable to deal with a minor setback or effectively counter Obama.
