Would a brokered convention disenfranchise new Obama voters |
|
Especially the black vote. If Obama wins most of the states and Hillary/and or Edwards fight for it at the convention with the super delegates get could get pretty nasty. Unless Obama comes out the winner of that, it would turn a lot of people off to the Democratic Party.

called young who dont' do a damn thing but dance up and down to the ipods and play video games. What do they thing an election is, another computer game. If they were so damn up for change where have they been for the last years. A lot of them were old enough to vote against bush, did they show up hell no. So what change do they want, Obama is going to be no better.
I for one would love to know all the change he proposes. What in the hell does he want to do...the first thing is get rid of the unions, so he approves of sending all the jobs overseas to break the union. And then he doesn't believe in labor. So where do all the people who have fought for mine safety, job safety, health benefits, job security have to go...Then we can't ever start on seniors he doesn't want to negotate for lower prescriptions prices, kill off seniors. And he doesn't want to support social security.....change change change what in the hell kind of change. Put him in the white house and let him fill his pockets, could that be the change he wants. While he has already put health care lobbyist on his payroll and gone to republican talking points with the robo-calls. So what else does rove have in store for him to WIN THE NOMINATION SO THE REPUBLICANS CAN BEAT HIM.

She's a drive-by poster who does not like Obama. She has yet to respond to someone repying to her posts.
You could be talking about the big storm in California and she will tell you that Obama's responsible for it.

5. If Obama wins most of the states, he will get the nomination. The super delegates will move |

into his camp.
If Obama wins more states than anyone else, but not enough to guarantee his nomination, there will be a brokered convention. His supporters will no more be disenfranchised than those of the other candidates. At the convention, it's majority rules, not plurality.
A brokered convention would provide the acid test for his vaunted skills of bringing us all together. Surely if he can bring the whole nation together, he would have little problem bringing together delegates to the Democratic National Convention, loyal Democrats all.

9. I don't see where all of these brokered convention scenarios are coming from |
|
The nominee will be known on February 6th and if not a week after. Superdelegates are going to be irrelevant. The condensed primary calendar by design makes a brokered convention damn near impossible.
