Look at how Yahoo news is reporting Clinton's emotional moment
"Fading in polls, Clinton vows to fight on"

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080107/pl_nm/usa_politics_dc

Read the article- they are linking her tears with the fact that she is losing, not with any personal conviction she might have. I'm not sure this kind of press will help her tomorrow or in the near future.

1. I'm not a Hillary supporter, but I thought we had moved beyond Ed Muskie.

17. Muskie was a tough old goat, but he still cried like a baby duck.
Angered by Manchester Union-Leader publisher William Loeb's attacks on his wife and himself, Edmund S. Muskie – then a senator from Maine and the early favorite for the Democratic presidential nod – raged against Loeb in front of the newspaper's building during a late February snowstorm. The Washington Post's David S. Broder, among many others, reported that Muskie had "tears streaming down his face," though in retrospect Broder and his colleagues acknowledge that the "tears" could have been melting snow.

20. Reminds me of how the "dean scream" was more a product of the media...
than of dean himself. I wonder if broder gets taken to task by his fellow journalists for such a poor job at reporting that.

2. It's all right with me if Clinton loses.
It would be even better if Obama were to lose as well.

However, he's siphoning off so many Reep and Indy
votes that I don't think he can lose.

My support will always be for Edwards, the only sane
voice in a sea of corporate slime.

Go Edwards!

3. I suspect the MSM will tear her apart over this.
Even though I saw the clip and she didn't look like she was crying to me.

If it sunk Ed Muskie, it will sink her. I want her to lose, but not like this.

7. How dare Clinton
show emotions!

How dare Clinton not show emotions!

wait --which is it?

Frankly --I thought it was an incredibly heartfelt moment --and it touched me.

I WANT a President that cares that deeply about issues and the state our country is in.

I wouldn't be surprised if she enacts Parts 1 and 2, as well

22. Exactly. *Reuters* is reporting, and Yahoo's only licensed their news feed.
Edited on Mon Jan-07-08 03:03 PM by tuvor
Like so many other news feeds Yahoo has licensed.

ON EDIT: AOL News is also running the very same Reuters report. http://news.aol.com/story/_a/teary-eyed-clinton-vows-to-fight-on/20080107142809990001
