Tales of Rudy Giuliani's Temper

http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/rush_molloy/?viewall=1

(snip)

Rudy Giuliani better keep wearing his happy face this week in New Hampshire. The sky is darkening with old New York foes who are only too willing to tell Americans about our former mayor's dark side.

Quite a few of them share their memories of his "petty, vindictive, small-minded maneuvering" in "An Oral History of Rudy Giuliani's Temper," due out in GQ's February issue.

Former United Nations Assistant Secretary General Gillian Sorensen remembers being backstage with Giuliani in 1995 when the New York Philharmonic performed a concert marking the UN's 50th anniversary.

"Suddenly, the mayor saw Yasser Arafat in the audience," says Sorensen. "The mayor went ballistic. He totally exploded. He turned red in the face, he started waving his arms, he yelled at his trembling aide as if he were a worm, he yelled at me. He jumped up and down." Giuliani ordered that Arafat, an invited dignitary, be removed.

(snip)

There is more. Much, much more.

I just hope this GQ issue comes out before the big February primaries.

Delicious!

3. The chickens come home to roost. Giuliani is not the brightest.
Can't think beyond the tip of his nose.

4. How odd to go ballistic over Arafat. Was it because he wasn't alerted?
Did he blame Democrats? Did he suspect that someone might be upset with him?

I will read that article to know more about this raunchy character.

7. Good point. How could he not have known Arafat would be attending?
Maybe he thought he had blocked Arafat from attending.

I am looking forward to reading it as well.

6. Yeah I do love it. The Daily News has not been kind to him.
I think the paper has known for a long time what a crook he is. When the Kerik felonies came to light years ago, the News was all over it. They also gave a lot of favorable publicity to the rescue workers and firefighters who were talking about the their very serious issues with him.

It's a crappy paper, but it takes no prisoners when they come across people who cross New Yorkers. And they clearly see the Rudy is not someone who is on the side of the people of this great city.

America's mayor my ass.

8. Actually, this story is wrong
Arafat was not invited to the Lincoln Center event. I remember this clearly. And frankly, that story would not hurt him - who is/was an Arafat fan?

But the stories about his temper are definitely true. The man is a mean SOB and there are hundreds of stories about it. Why waste them unless he gets the nod?
