5. I've been expecting the gender gap to start breaking for Hillary |
|
The more Hillary gets beat up on in ways that many women perceive to be unfair and unequal treatment, the more women can relate to her. The more Hillary is attacked on matters that are not of substance, the more women will look at the substance in her. Women are the majority.
The same would hold true in the General Election if Clinton becomes our nominee. The Republicans knew how to score cheap points against Hillary when they could make her their private in joke punching bag, but when their assault on her takes place in broad daylight on main street, women will be watching and taking pride in how she holds up and responds. Hillary will have her own stage and her own mike then, and the Republicans won't be able to turn it off and treat her like a hapless victim with her unable to respond effectively.
And they won't be able to help themselves. Republicans have knee jerk assaulted Hillary for 15 years, they won't be able to restrain themselves. They will only drive women and fair minded men toward her side. If the media establishment piles on also that will fuel a backlash against the media shills too, and that would be an added benefit for Democrats.
