OK, I'd like to see the Clintons back in the White House.
Seeing the three of them together really picked me up. I remembered the good old days before 2000. Having Clintons in the White House again would piss off all the people I despise and that would feel real good.

17. Jim 4Wes you don't want Hill in ofc even if it means that
Wes will probably have a place in her admin? He has strong ties with them and I would love to see him and his ideas put to good use.

45. blacks were not affected well by welfare reform or the war on drugs
hillary does not support retroactive sentencing to show mercy to those who were victims of inequity in mandatory sentencing.

to some people, it would be a worst nightmare.

just like, to some people, the Reagan years were the greatest years on planet earth.

I dislike the Reagan years much worse than the Clinton years, to be honest; but I don't want that pair back in office. They got lucky off of dot com boom.

50. valid point?
assuming your assertion about her position is true and that other major candidates have a different position (not just different rhetoric) then you might have had a valid point.

But even if she has taken a harder line on that issue, I doubt it applies to either you or the other poster since you both appear to not be in the penal system currently. ;)

Look, I never said Hillary was perfect, however my response "obnoxious" to the poster above still stands unless further grievances are revealed that may justify it.

8. Not me
I grew up with them in the White House, and those years weren't nearly as great as they are being made out to be. They look good in contrast to Bush, but that's hardly a compliment. I want a new generation of leadership in there.

27. No one running is going to be able to do a better job than Hillary
when you look at the qualifications of the others. You would rather put our country at risk just to not have the name Clinton? People with experience and qualifications are more important than your reasoning. We've had almost 8 yrs of a pres. that doesn't know what he's doing and brings up his religion to get support from his followers. I have confidence that Hillary will surround herself with the very best. We don't know who the other 2 might have and that worries me.

47. I disagree
I don't give a crap about "qualifications" whatever those are. She's the most hawkish, she loves lobbyists, and she "triangulates" needlessly. I'm sick of that shit. The most important decision of her career, whether to support the Iraq war, she completely fucked up.

9. sorry. I just can't get jazzed about it at all
as I watch her votes veer toward republican-lite Lieberman....as I watched Bill get chummy with old money and the Bush clan....not Carter--BUSH! It got me to realizing that for the Clinton's it's always been about climbing the ladder and winning. They swept into office here in the US in 1992 and then abandoned so many constituencies that got them there.

I see the same thing again if we can't break the cruel cycle and get a fresh start with Obama.

13. I truly think there is a lot of that sentiment, hiding below the surface.

After all, it's been much more trendy to bash Hillary in the past few years while we've all lived through the Dark Age of Bush. The actual stature of the Clintons is one of those quiet secrets IMO.

14. That's the problem I see in all of this.
Too much of wanting to settle some old score. HC admitting that this is very personal for her, shows she has a vendetta or something. This isn't about stuffing it to those that came after them back then. We need an inspiring true leader right now, and she is not that leader. No way, no how. She's still very polarizing not only within the democratic party, but to independents and certainly republicans.

I consider myself a progressive, and I do not now, nor will I ever support HRC. The clinton era ended with Bill. Maybe Chelsea can pick up the torch. But the fire just doesn't burn for HRC.

"But then, astonishingly, in his 7,000-word piece, Bai does not describe the many legislative initiatives Clinton undertook to reverse the New Deal and the Great Society.

Clinton himself summed up the principle guiding his initiatives in his famous declaration, "The era of big government is over."
