First, many here are not sure that Clinton won, by only 6,000 and with not all the votes counted.
But, according to - Andrea Mitchell, I think - this morning the Clinton campaigned expected to lose by double digit percentage points. So even if Obama wins by, say, 300, this is a major victory for Clinton.
On CNN, they divided the votes by Democrats and independents who voted in the Democratic primaries. Obama won big among the independents but Clinton among the Democrats (I do not remember the numbers).
I know that our nominee has to attract independent and moderate Republicans, but if we let independent and, in real open primaries, Republicans choose our candidate then why bother with Democratic primaries?

georgie boy stole the elections by a margin of 144 votes. (all of which and many more really belonged to al gore).
