In New Hampshire, You Don't Get to Give Votes to Your Second Choice |
|
I see so many posts of people scratching their heads over how Hillary defeated Obama.
I have to wonder - have they forgotten so quickly that Obama's Iowa win was fueled in part by voters whose first choice - Kucinich, Biden, Dodd, Richardson - weren't viable? Do you think those voters totals were less than 8%?

I don't have the numbers but I think Obama did better in raw percentages in the entrance polling. maybe I'm wrong.

I saw voters going to Obama because they thought he was more viable. Obama is also my second choice, but I don't get to vote until March, so he may be my first choice by then. Who knows.

It's interesting though - there is a 15% cutoff for getting any delegates, but you just don't necessarily know going in if your candidate will get that or not (though I would think the supports of the one's you list would have had a good idea, maybe except for Richardson).
