What I mean is that the American electorate is angry, really, really deep down angry: about the war, the economy, jealth care, crooked and corrupt politicians, almost all Republicans, immigration. I am convinced that if a candidate starts showing their anger, their disgust with passion and following up with specific ways they are going smack offenders, or solve the problem, it will grab the voters. Get up on those platforms and podiums and point the fingers at Bush, Cheney any of them and state firmmly "they will not be allowed to continue, I will stop them and rid the government of all incompetent and corrupted appointees of the past administration. I will have the DoJ investigate and prosecute any corruption that is found.", "I will NOT continue Dick Cheney's war that enriches the Hallibutons and the Blackwaters and takes the lives of Americas young because of lies. I will, however pursue to the end Osama bin Laden, the man who is responsible for all this loss of life and destruction of peace." "I will get rid of ALL corporate welfare, and obscene tax loopholes that enrich multi-national corporations and cause the American people for generations to come to pick up the deficits that those loopholes cause." and on and on. Pund the dais, point the finger at the people and things that have the American people angry, NOT other candidates.
Edwards and Clinton both have the opportunity to do exactly this. Obama has eliminated that option with his 'Hope' campaign. If he adopts the other, he will be attacked for back-tracking on his campaign base, and it will only add weight to the argument that he is too inexperienced. The other two if confronted with the question as to why didn't they do this from the start, can weasel it...and say they always felt that way and the time was not right yet, yada yada: If Obama tries that tactic then he will have admitted that his initial stand as the candidate of Hope and unity was a fraud.
At any rate I firmly believe that what I have stated comes very, very near to what the populace feels right now, and has felt since before 2006. It explains the overwhelming disatisfaction with the Democratic Congress...they expected action, they did not get it!
