IMPORTANT! Anti-Clinton/Obama Viral E-Mails Hitting Their Mark
Well, it looks like the repugnicans have finally caught up to rest of us when it comes to the "interwebs"

I've been listening to Air America all morning, and they keep talking about phony viral emails getting sent out to all sorts of people bashing hillary and barack.

I don't know what they have been saying about Hillary yet... they haven't said... but I know the emails have been tossing the whole Madrassa b.s. around about Obama.

One lady called in the the Thom hartman program and told him that her mother was switching parties to democratic so she could just vote against obama to make sure he isn't the candidate.

I know you hillary supporters out there probably love that, BUT if people will do that, then you know they will do the same thing to stop hillary.

Regardless of who your candidate is, this is a MAJOR problem. We need to listen to our friends and see if they have got either of these emails and help set them straight.

Don't let the Repugnicans screw with our elections! The power is yours.

1. They need to address these viral e-mails.
Not head on like "I've heard the internets...." But indirectly by making statements about the issues in the e-mails. They can' just let it go like Kerry did with the swift-boat traitors.

19. Yes.
None of this "oh but we're just lowering ourselves and giving it credibility if we respond!" crap.

IMNSHO, Obama himself should call a press conference to specifically address these emails and rumors and make it clear that he will track down the operatives responsible for them and expose them for the bigoted cowards that they are.

2. Why would anyone believe everything they read in an email?
Are people really that stupid?

4. They'll believe something if they want to believe it's true.
An old con artist saying is that you can't con somebody who doesn't want to be conned.

15. Believe it or not, there are actually people out there
who are not quite as, shall we say, politically sophisticated as the average DUer!

We tend to go over every piece of information with a fine-toothed comb before deciding what to make of it, while others are willing to rely on single, albeit tremendously dubious sources and are just lazy enough to be willing to take it as gospel!

Thom Hartmann made the point that the Republicans are not waiting for a candidate to be chosen to begin their swift-boating campaign - they'll do it to both of the most likely nominees, and don't think they wouldn't do it to John Edwards if something suddenly changed and he suddenly became a big factor again!

18. Well, if an email says a website makes a certain claim
For example, "snopes.com says Obama is a muslim", is it really so hard to actually go to that website and check it out yourself?

It takes literally no effort on their part!

20. People have believed gossip for many millennia
and this is really just gossip, of a malicious kind. Some people (maybe that should be many people) like the idea that they know something that others don't know yet. Gives them a feeling of superiority. Of course, if it's incorrect as this is, they just look foolish.

to do anything about this. What can we do other than keeping track of them?

8. Don't Feel Powerless
What we do is simple... we listen to our friends. If we hear anything we set them straight. And, if we get one of them, we forward back the truth to everyone the email came from;
NOT JUST THE PERSON WHO SENT IT TO YOU!!! EVERYONE is came from.

6. What anti-Hillary mails are going around?
All I hear about are the same old ridiculous "BAROQUE HUSSEIN OSAMA IS A ISLAMOFASCIST TERRAIST !!!111!!!!" that some Freeper lifted directly off a Snopes.com page, but left out the text which debunked the bullshit.

Can't honestly say I've seen anything about Hillary circulating. I'm obviously no fan of hers, but I wouldn't support anybody circulating anything about her that was as obviously bullshit as the Obama crap is.

9. The vile and hate for the last 20 years against Hillary is what makes
people dislike her. There are still people who say she killed Vince Foster, killed cats, is a lesbian, is a man chaser. Used tax money to send out TOO MANY CHRISTMAS CARDS, to send out mail in Boots fan club. Look at the way they still screw around with her and White water, and a REPUBLICAN INVESTIGATION, republican mind you reluctantly had to admit she and Bill had nothing to do with the fraud in that action. People still slur her for it. Look how they screw her over because some guy with questionable times held a fund raiser and when she found out gave ALL THE MONEY BACK..THEY STILL POST ABOUT IT, but they don't post about all the money Obama's gangster friend gave him, when he was running in Illinois, he didn't give it back. he didn't pay the 300,000 the gangster friend got him for the discount on his house.

So there are two sets of rules for Hillary and the rest of the candidates, bash Hillary call her names do anything you can to slur her. But you can't for the Men they are different.

17. Oh give me a break
I did't slam anyone out there. I think I made it EXTREMELY clear that this isn't a partisan thing, so don't make it out to be one.

Simply put, after yesterday and all the bs that went around....

If i heard about it happening to Hillary I would have reversed it, but the lady that called in said her mom was switching so she could vote against obama.

Don't spin it. That's NOT what this is about.
