So TIME calls Clinton "shrill" links to Meet To Press video from this morning
Here is the video they linked to:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/22635125#22635125

From: http://thepage.time.com/2008/01/13/on-the-sunday-shows-10
A tough and aggressive Clinton played offense and defense on race, Iraq, and more. Perhaps a bit shrill and defensive for Clinton haters (and Clinton skeptics), but overall an on-message performance. Watch clip above. Read transcript here.
-snip-

Oh my they called her shrill.

8. Yes, there's a good possibility that they're sexist about their candidates. nt

9. There are bad reasons to criticize Hillary but also good reasons
Her supposed "shrillness" is a bad reason, as is any gender related bullshit (and or her laugh, how she tips or doesn't tip, etc.).

*This*, however, is a good reason: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=103x331580

12. Having been called a "ball-cutter" once or twice myself - a long time ago -
Edited on Sun Jan-13-08 02:57 PM by patrice
I have sympathy with her on this issue. I'm NOT a ball-cutter, I'm just quite a bit more certain why I think what I think and why I feel what I feel than a lot of males are.

Yes, that is THE legitimate reason to be against any of them. So now we are faced with the NEED to stand up to the hell that Republicans have wrought. That's why triangulation and so-called "Independents" and cross-over voters, though nice things in other contexts, are completely WRONG right now.

16. There are many things better than being shrill
Typical attempt to deflect the argument.

No accountability, nothing to see, we deny everything, move along.

17. You know absolutely nothing about my attitudes toward accountability, seeing what's
actually going on, truth, focus etc.

Shrill isn't a reason to discount a candidate.

18. Your words reveal much of it.
"I'm NOT a ball-cutter, I'm just quite a bit more certain why I think what I think and why I feel what I feel than a lot of males are."

Truth, focus, LOL.

2. Oh they been calling her shrill for months

however the fact was she beat the living crap out of Russert on MTP today.

I'm wouldnt be surprised if Bill had a few black eyes after the Monica thing. Hillary lately certainly looks like she could take on Grizzly bear with one hand behind her back.

3. Not surprised. She is damned no matter what she does.
Backwards and in highheels.

We have so far to go as women. If we don't defend ourselves we are weak. If we do, we are shrill.

The onslaught of sexist attacks are non-stop for Clinton. She is one of the strongest people I have ever seen to take this constant abuse and still rise every day for the fight.

10. Shrill? They must've watched a different MTP than I did this morning.
The Hillary I saw today on MTP was very matter-of-fact.

13. I wish writers wouldn't use the word shrill in describing Hillary
because I'm on the fence. The word shrill pushes me TOWARD Hillary because I think it's sexist. I would prefer to make my choice without considering either gender or race.
