I just finished watching Hillary on Meet the Press and I've never been more proud to support her |
|
How she took all of Timmy's shit right back to him and exposed Obama to be the fraud that he is on Iraq.......put a smile to my face. :)

7. Good luck clearing your conscience when she loses the general election. |
|
Support whoever you wish, but it's folly to think that she will pull out a general election win. Repukes want to run against her in the general. Shouldn't this tell you something? Hello...get a clue.

17. Do you really think that the thieves who stole the 2000 and 2004 elections... |
|
...will give up thier power so easily?
The Clintons and the Bushes are so close, you'd think they're related.
Hillary will win the next election and no one will question if our elections are fair.
We have all start getting a clue.

25. Got a link for those pearls of wisdom? |
|
"The Clintons and the Bushes are so close, you'd think they're related."
Those pearls of yours are probably as faux as the wisdom. It's pure conjecture!
Just because people work together to accomplish some wonderful deeds for other members of the world community (not just Dems or Rethugs but human beings) doesn't mean they are bosom buddies and even members of both parties often play golf together. X-presidents are a very special group and have much in common and tons of happy and horrible memories, regrets and accomplishments. Ford and Carter(?) became very close friends. I think if two presidents of opposite parties can become friends they deserve praise not ridicule. You should be proud of our presidents to do that...no matter whether you like them or not.
Funny how Obama says he's a uniter and can bring Rethugs in to our party and even have them in his cabinet but his supporters think it's an offense every time they see Clinton and Bush together. How's that for being uniters?

26. Common sense, or maybe just paying attention.... |
|
...would tell you that the Clinton's laid down the foundation for the mess we're in today. Bill enabled the Bush White House to bring us to war in Iraq, and he killed our free press.
His Iraqi Liberation Act called for the oust of Saddam. He and Hillary advised our senators to sign the IWR. When Dick Cheney privatized our military during Bush Sr's reign; and handed it to Halliburton, Bill Clinton kept it that way.
His Telecommunication Act consolidated our media into the corporate propaganda machine we have now.
NAFTA...need I say more?

Russert did a great job in making the questions as absolutely tough as they could be. He didn't miss a nuance, making each question as absolutely damning as it could be. He was unfair in showing only snippets of her IWR speech and Bill's "fairy tale" comment. Hillary won anyway.
I notice he didn't ask her about the Patriots.
And she didn't ask him about his part in the run-up to the war.

In my opinion, the most heinous thing Russert did was to show the abbreviated clip of Bill Clinton speaking, which he knew was taken completely out of context. That was dirty, partisan, and unprofessional. It reeked of vaulting ambition so blind and overriding that it chose to deliberately withhold the truth from the American people. He wants to be "the guy who took down Hillary Clinton", and he will lie and cheat to try to do it, on national tv. He's the worst kind of pundit, doing the worst possible job of practicing his craft.

that she could probably wrestle a grizzly bear with one arm tied behind her back. Now i understand exactly why she's gained respect from all sections of the senate. She takes no bull and will quite happily beat the living daylights out of you if you cross.
I really like that about her.
I would hate to have been Bill when she got him home after Monica. He probably got a black eye.

I only reluctantly came to support her originally, but she left no doubt in my mind today over who would be the best president. I've never been a more firm supporter of her's than I am at this moment. I'll be voting for her her in SC soon.

Not that she ever lacked for confidence, but she seemed to have a whole hell of a lot of confidence in the interview. She even called Russert on some of his tactics of fairness (showing only partial clips, etc)and not letting her respond to his accusations. It was a somewhat harsh interview, but she sure was poised and articulate. Too bad Russert is moderating the debate on Tuesday night because I really can't stand his "gotcha" style questions and trying to trip people up.
I also liked how she handled the "What was the most difficult time in your life" question. Russert knows the answer, because he grilled her about it during her Senate run. But Hillary responded today by saying, "We all know what that is. We all lived through it." (Sorry, don't have exact quote). It was certainly a humble moment, but she answered it with dignity.
All in all, she answered all of the questions well and is stunningly intelligent. Everytime I hear her speak she impresses me.

23. I had this friend in college who could win every debate and |
|
was quite impressive. The only problem was that his original premises were all fucked up. Same with HRC. The war is just wrong and corporate imperialism is wrong. She reminds me of LBJ or HHH in 1968 who could not admit the VN War was wrong and so lost the margin of progressive voters HHH needed to win against Nixon.

She did great!!! I was proud to see her pawn Tim and his attempt to show partial clips and make biased statements didn't work out. She called him out on his B.S. and corrected the record.
It pains me that some people are calling the Clintons racists, they may not be perfect, but racist they have never been. Quite the contrary, Bill is loved by the African American community.
This past Saturday I had a conversation with an African American woman in line at a store that was closing. It was so crowded that we ended up talking for 45 minutes before we got to the front of the line. We started talking about politics and she said that she was quite angry at anybody who would dare to call Bill a racist. She was quite passionate about it and even said that Obama was not ready to be president. Several of my black co-workers feel the same way. My points is that some people are not snowed over by a smooth guy who's all rhetoric. It restores my faith in people, this race should be about who's the best candidate for the job, not about voting for someone based on race or gender.

Again, she put all the blame on "others" for the Iraqi invasion.
Male or female, the entity known as is "Hillary" demonstrates behaviors which are f**king shameful, then plays "the gender card" when called on her duplicity. Such wind-vane opportunists are not capable of INSPIRING true devotion. Well, save for those who serve "the mean green" as GOD Almighty. :(
We've already had a *I know all* - Iron Lady leader of the nation. Ask The Labor Party what they thought of Maggie Thatcher?
