She should have put it something like this and no one would have been offended.
"Not to take anything away from MLK Jr and all the incredible things he did which will never be matched etc. etc. etc. but we also need to give credit to LBJ for turning it into law etc. etc."
How would you have put it?
Personally no matter how you change it, it's still a strange thing to bring up and I don't know why she thought it would help her? As someone pointed out Obama is running for president too and what could be better for race relations than electing someone who understands the difficulty's of being a minority. I just don't understand why she went there and neither does Randi Rhodes. :shrug:
