I read the teachers union came out against the suit, but I haven't heard anything else. Sorry if this has been posted, just hard to go through all these posts looking for information.

Thanks!

The lawsuit seeking to dismantle the nine at-large caucus sites because they would give improper weight to Culinary workers remained in limbo this afternoon.

Although the complaint was filed on Friday, the plaintiffs have still needed to file an emergency motion such as a temporary restraining order to get the matter heard swiftly in U.S. District Court, according to state Democratic Party officials.

Nothing had been scheduled so far late this afternoon, although the filing could occur electronically as late as midnight.

But nothing, it seems, will be acted on until tomorrow.

UPDATE =

The Temporary Restraining Order to stop the at-large precincts from caucusing has been filed and can be found here:

2. A TRO a week before the caucus
That's the democratic way, isn't it?

Shame, shame, shame.

3. Maintenance workers in culinary get off work with caucus next door - vs teaching union maintenance
workers who are shift bound and far from caucus location -

basic problem is that caucus is a lousy way to select delegates.

4. How many NSEA members are working on a Saturday?
C'mon, give me a break.

I'm all for taking a close look at whether at large caucuses are a good or bad idea. However, the time to do this was months ago - a time where it wasn't inconvenient for all parties involved. But a temporary restraining order five days before the caucus? That's democratic to you?
