Prediction: Big win for Romney in MI
McCains 'truth' (about outsourcing apparently) on the stump is going to go over like a lead balloon in the home of the automobile...

2. Not false hope that the industry can adapt to the new marketplace
...The line has to be drawn somewhere in order to maintain our society. The automobile industry is also a national security issue... we need to maintain capacity...

5. The domestic auto industry will never have the share it used to.
It will never employ as many workers as it used to. That is a simple fact.

6. Probably right about domestic share
Edited on Tue Jan-15-08 12:40 AM by JCMach1
but there is a very short window for Ford and GM to get the NEXTGEN of transport correct... Chrysler is hopeless I'm afraid.

The global market is also huge though... And you have to shake your head and say why the hell doesn't Ford get the new Mondeo to the States ASAP?!?

Jeesh, they have a car that can kick Camry's ass and they don't even want to get it to market in the US... :(

Farkin' clueless...

11. I saw a pic of that the other day
and it's a sharp looking car.

Too bad, much of what Ford releases here in the US sucks.

8. McCain will win or do well I predict
Because he was ordained to be next way back when he kissed up to bush...that was what that was all about.
Rethugs do not rely on democracy to select there people.

12. McCain will win easily
Especially considering the Dem ballot is meaningless...independents will go and vote for McCain. Don't ask me why, but he still appeals to even some left leaning people that buy the crap that he's a "maverick".
