General election tactics from Clinton and Obama?? (I hope.)
Some say that Hillary played the fear card at last night's debate ~ and now Obama is invoking the name of the most revered of all Republicans.

Well, I'm sick of the fear card and have no interest in worshipping at the Reagan altar.

Please tell me this is all just GE posturing!

1. I'd love to have a Dem candidate in the GE who could move people like Reagan did
We could actually win!

3. Reagan didn't move me, and I hated his policies...
I'm just hoping Obama's conciliatory nature doesn't undermine Democratic ideals and ideas.

4. Obama doesn't like Reagan's policies either. You missed his point.

6. I understand the point he claims to be making...
Just not sure I trust that his unity thing only goes so far ~ invoking that name is too much for me.

9. But the others have played Republicanesque cards...
Does Edwards have one of those ~ or is his populist message nonpartisan??

12. A favorite that was posted from a DKos diary. This about sums it up, me thinketh!
Or at least, it agrees with how I am seeing it all:

Obama - United We Sit At A Table To Bargain

Clinton - United We Sneak Off To A Backroom To Bargain

Edwards - United We Reach Our 300 Million Pound Fist Out And Fucking End This Tyrany And Take Our Democracy Back

:woohoo:

7. So what's John Edwards' general election tactic??
Maybe I've missed it, but it seems he's concentrating on the Dem nomination right now.

10. I'm going to buy his book,
apparently this isn't an election tactic, but I don't know how far he goes in his praise of Reagan.

11. That's what worries me...
I've never been a big fan of the unity thing, and was just getting comfortable with his conciliatory talk ~ now I'm not so sure. Maybe I should read that book too.
