Do you support Edwards? Feel glum about his lack of media coverage? |
|
DONATE NOW! VOLUNTEER NOW! PRAY, but goodness sake, DO SOMETHING NOW!
I'm pledging to donate every payday, automatically, through his website...www.johnedwards.com, what are you going to do?

3. Edwards got 4 percent of the raw vote in Nevada??? |
|
Sorry, thats not enough to be competitive. I know the media did a number on him. I know he kept to a principle (no lobbyist money, use the federal funds and individual contributors only)... but it's just not enough. It will take a strange politician to change things, one that takes all of the money and then screws the system that got him/her elected. Either that or a revolution.
I like John, like him a lot. But if he couldn't get more than 4 percent of the Democratic vote in a state where unions make up a significant portion of the Democratic base... well... time to hang it up and hope someone has you in mind for the Veep spot again.
Maybe John can pull off a miracle in South Carolina, but without it...

9. I admire his efforts, but the lack of attention by the MSM |
|
and his lack of money to appear on TV enough to be heard... not to mention the horse race between two other candidates... well, like I said, I hope he can pull off a miracle in South Carolina... otherwise, he should consider dropping out and declaring for one of the two remaining.

15. Edwards is not just running for president. |
|
He is creating a movement. He is the only candidate talking about poverty. I posted questions about whether any other candidate is talking about abiding by the Constitution, closing Guantanamo, ending torture and stopping the illegal (his word!!!) wiretapping. I haven't received any answer stating that any other candidate is talking about taking those steps. Therefore, until I learn otherwise, I am stating that Edwards is the only candidate standing up for the Bill of Rights and against torture.

I noticed that in his rally last night -- and followed up with "and I used that term very deliberately" - is that a hint that he recognizes the law-breaking and intends to take action? (ooooooo...his stand on illegal immigrants includes the sentiment that when the law has been broken one cannot just look the other way and pretend it didn't happen. could that be another clue to what he might do as President? - I know, it's not useful to "read into" things. Especially in politics. But I can hope! And JRE is the ONLY candidate who gives me hope that things might really change.

28. An attorney sits in courtrooms and watches judges hand down |
|
rulings on matters small and large. Do that long enough and you get an enormous respect for and fear of justice. Contrary to the popular thought on lawyers, many lawyers have great admiration and love for human justice. Edwards probably saw rulings that were fair and others that were not, but I have no doubt that he believes in our judicial system and would allow it to work in its way. I believe that of all the candidates, Edwards is the most likely to prosecute the crimes of the current administration. He has not said that. I just think he is the most likely to allow justice to be done. I think he is the most likely to find a way to do it.
Congress needs to do its part and impeach the president and vice-president. The pardon power does not reach actual impeachments.

29. can we talk up the idea of doing the impeachment part and not emphasize removal? |
|
seems all pelosi is concerned about it that we supposedly want removal. how bout just investigation and impeachment if appropriate? i get the sick feeling that all of the critters in congress are also complicit - except a precious few.

Impeach first and get the information out, then worry about removal.

18. thank you for your clarity -- some here are denying that there's a bias |
|
now that their candidates are getting the coverage, they seem to think the M$M has done a 180 and that it's all good again. they also blame Edwards' message. personally, i think that the M$S response to his message is telling - and that if we wanted change we would recognize that.
Best of luck with your candidate, whoever that might be. And thanks again for your fairness.
