3. I find the poll feature is rarely employed for anything useful
Edited on Sun Feb-29-04 02:56 PM by nothingshocksmeanymo
is the easiest feature to freep
and is mostly used for antagonistic bullshit or obsessive compulsive crap.

( not this poll though :D )

5. I surmise
...that the "pollsters" conclued that repeating the same mantra over and over worked for the administration in the run up to the war...that its at least worth a shot here.

7. I'm not seeing the same thing over and over - what may be someone else....
seeing an article more than once does not mean that others have also. I work, visit my sickly relatives, etc. so I'm seeing the article for the first time. And yes, on several occasions someone has made a point that I had not thought of and gave me a new perspective.

17. interesting observation
that I would tend to agree with, however I sometimes am alone in my corner - so while I asked the question a tad bit facetiously... I also wanted to know... was my impression valid - or perhaps these ongoing "discussions" actually lead to discourse that shapes some opinions. Looks like that is not often the case.

btw - Hey buddhamama! :hi:

23. not to stop ya'
from verbosity- thought i'd give this a reply and kick.

it is not the case for me that repeated polls/articles,etc., change my opinion or lead me to discourse. unless a subject line catches my eye, i don't usually read thru the replies anyway.

Hey back Salin :hi:

This poll just changed my opinion of polls. Can you post it again tomorrow? Or six other variations of it today?

21. I have been accused of being a bit verbose
so perhaps I can oblige... by putting those skills to the task of rephrasing this poll... with ever so slight variations... or perhaps instead I can rephrase it in ways that demonstrate a particular agenda? Oh, the possibilities are endless....

22. Yes, it is known as the Dean Scream Syndrome
if you play one lie over and over and over enough times, it becomes truth.

employed to some success by Republicans, and co-opted here on DU by many.
