Poll question: Has Bill Clinton's statements about Obama changed your "approval" of him? |
|
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 08:59 PM by jenmito
I know he used to have a very high approval rating among Dems. I wonder how your opinion/approval has changed in the last month or so. Please kick once in a while so it doesn't sink so quickly. :)

12. This poll divides the Hillary vote (edit: problem fixed, counts not) |
|
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 09:05 PM by lvx35
problem fixed, unfortunately vote counts remain the same....
TWO options (#1 and #3) to divide the vote of Hillary supporters who still approve of Bill so that their vote looks smaller?

it has nothing to do with dividing the vote of ANYONE. I simply listed all possible options.

34. What I saw in the original |
|
was posts 1-3 started with "I am a Hillary supporter" and 1 and 3 were the same, for Hillary supporters who continued to support Bill. Posts 4-6 where posts 3, 4 & 6 in the current poll, all for "I am not a Hillary supporter".
Not really sayin' you intended it, but that's what I saw.

|
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 10:43 PM by jenmito
they are all different. I have different combinations since there are people who fit different categories. 3 are for Hillary supporters and 3 are for not Hillary supporters. I never changed my first 4 choices. I just added 2 more by request.

:) Its okay, I'm not really too worried about it. The worst you could be doing is astro-turfing on DU, and look where that got Biden.

39. "astro-turfing" is about showing false "grass roots" support. |
|
Its not real grass so its "astro turf" get it?
Its where you artificially create the appearance that somebody has real huge roots support, in hope that group-think will make others jump on the bandwagon. Ron Paul is doing a lot of it, that's why you see its signs everywhere but his numbers are comparitively small. I was just saying that if your poll "divided" the bill support, that's the worst you could be up to, and that's not something I am actually worried about here on DU! :)

22. Bill was and is a liar. I'll never trust him and those that are with him. |
|
But Americans love liars don't they? Americans have no problem with deception in advertising or in the news or the president lying us into a war. Am I the only one who has a problem with it?

23. Sometimes I'm tough on Bill Clinton about his womanizing and... |
|
...the mess he got us all into with what I think of as his addiction ~ but I respect him for his accomplishments as president, and really didn't like hearing Obama elevate Reagan over Clinton in that interview.
What Bill Clinton's behavior does lately is remind us of the lengths he'll go to in order to protect himself. Though I think Hillary would be a very capable president (in spite of a bunch of things I've hammered her on), I'm not sure it would be good for the country to have the Clintons back in the WH.

The only dems who dislike Bill are Obama supporters
I understand why they are so small and petty

31. That was taken in Feb. It's now almost a year later, and as you can clearly see, those numbers |
|
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 10:25 PM by jenmito
would not be that high now. And to say the other 11%, back in Feb., are Obama supporters, is ridiculous (and not true according to my poll above).

32. No, I can't "clearly see" that, without data--why don't you provide a link |

Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 10:33 PM by spooky3
to properly conducted, scientific poll data, since you are the one making the assertion about what other people think?
Regardless of hyperbole to make the point, the point the other poster is making is that WJClinton is far more popular among non-DU Democrats than you seem to understand. Neither the other poster nor I made any claims about when the 89% result was found. You asked for a link, and you got it.

|
Edited on Tue Jan-22-08 10:33 PM by jenmito
As you can see by my non-scientific poll, those numbers from last Feb. don't hold up. I'm a Dem. who used to approve of him but now does not. I'm not a Hillary supporter, but I WAS a Bill supporter.

I did not think Jimmy Carter was a good president; I have great respect for him as an ex-president. I thought Bill Clinton was a good president; I have not thought as highly of him as an ex-president.
