He will endorse whoever the nominee is. Depending on who it is, he may even campaign for them. He has too much integrity to backhand the Clinton's in any way. So unless Hillary got out, he will remain quiet.

10. If he still possibly might run, endorsing Edwards might be his best bet! |
|
As that would likely be the best way to "split" the convention and open the door for him to get in the race without having to go through the primaries, since that would likely prevent either Clinton or Obama from getting a majority themselves. Who knows, perhaps Gore might take Edwards as his running mate too! Now wouldn't that be fitting that a "hybrid" of the two last *WINNING* tickets for the Democrats that had their office stolen from them would be combined to have a new administration after this disaster!

11. That's so funny- I was just thinking of posting the exact same request. |
|
Until tonight I was thinking it would be better if he just stayed out of the fray and waited to endorse whomever is the candidate. This evening- about 2 hours ago, I started thinking that what a difference it could make- would make- if Gore were to endorce Edwards.
Not that I've totally let go of my fantasy that he'll get drafted when the party decides that he is the only one who can beat McCain (or whomever winds up running on the red team).
President Gore- please consider endorsing Edwards. Thanks.

12. He might have learned a lesson from endorsing Dean in 2004 |
|
I'd be surprised if he endorsed anybody. Dean has the good sense as DNC chair to avoid this.

13. Not gonna happen. Gore won't endorse anyone until |
|
a nominee has been chosen. That's pretty clear. I think his experience endorsing Dean made him cautious about the whole thing. In addition, I don't think you can assume that he'd automatically endorse Edwards. In fact, it's unlikely that any prominent dems will do so at this point, unless he scores a phenomenal upset in SC. That's just the way it works.
