"It's not illegal unless they tell you so." - the Clinton Mission Statement |
|
Edited on Wed Jan-23-08 03:57 PM by JackORoses
This is the directive that was issued to her surrogates in Nevada where Caucus doors were closed early, people were turned away, and voters were disenfranchised. It was actually printed on fliers.
This is how her Campaign is run. In It To Win It At All Costs.
She doesn't care about Truth or Law. She doesn't care about damaging the Democratic Party or it's chances in 2008 to form a working majority. She doesn't even care what's best for the Nation by playing on divisions rather than attempting to unite.
She has shown that all she cares about is getting elected.
Are these the qualities we are looking for in the Leader of the Free World?

That makes me very uneasy.

2. Could Hillary have been referring to the fact |
|
that it wasn't illegal for a member of a union that endorsed Obama to vote for her?
I wish all the candidates would focus their accusations on the Repubs.
I think the person who can make the best case FOR the Dems and AGAINST the Repubs should win the nomination because that person will have the best chance to win the general election.

15. Hillary wasn't referring to anything. It's not a quote from her. |
|
It's a line from a purported Nevada campaign handout on caucus procedure. She never saw it and doesn't know anything about it. It's either a state or area-level document.
Like Obama's supporters on DU constantly demonstrate, people who avidly believe in a candidate may decide on their own that the end justifies the means.

"She never saw it and doesn't know anything about it."
This always seems to be the case when a Clinton surrogate gets caught doing something wrong.

4. Yes, dear. And Obama is all things truthful and honest. |
|
You can trust him. Especially when he tells you he can't remember how Mrs. Rezko came to be buying that lot right next to him on the same day he bought his house for $300,000 less than the price, while she paid $382,000 more than the value of the lot. If he says the deal is clean, you can bet on it.

OH, I KNOW! It's like the Republican mouthbreather that froths "DEMS DO IT TOO!" when confronted with evidence of GOP malfeasance.

17. I NEVER said Hillary Clinton is a liar. |
|
And of course you can trust Obama. He would never lie about his relationship to such a fine person as Rezko.
But calling a local campaign flyer a "mission statement" is, politely, a convenient distortion?

5. It bears repeating: She does not care about anything but winning. And at the rate she is |
|
going, even if she gets the nomination, she will have half of the democratic party working - or voting - against her. Or just simply tuning out. Good job, Billary. Off to a wonderful start if you want 8 years of war and division and republican control.

18. Ignorance of the Law is no excuse. Never has been, never will be. |
|
Try getting out of a murder rap by saying you hadn't been told it that killing was illegal.
The Law is there whether someone tells you or not.
If Hillary's surrogates were breaking the law, they will be held accountable.

14. To put it mildly...Bull! |
|
My wife and I ran a caucus precinct for Hillary outside Las Vegas on Saturday. Everybody got to participate, every vote got counted, and GASP! Obama actually got more votes than Hillary did.
I decided on Hillary as my candidate after my first two choices dropped out and after evaluating all of the remaining ones. I did so because she exhibits the best experience and ability to actually get things accomplished, and however much or little her positions don't exactly jibe with mine, they're still far better than anyone in the Republican race.
I don't begrudge anyone who supports Obama (or Edwards) and would happy support and vote for either if they win the nomination. Are you prepared to say the same thing? Or are you like the Fredheads ove on the other side of the sandbox who couldn't contemplate why everyone didn't instinctively vote for their guy. Apparently it was the media or the party bosses that were to blame; it couldn't possible be that the votes actually liked someone else.

16. It doesn't matter. The cards were always stacked against Obama |
|
and even Edwards. As an Obama supporter I've come to realize that America is still about "me me me". If you have to stomp on people to get what you want...then so be it. I'm tired of this party acting as if the Repubs are so evil. BOTH parties are toxic and have bad politicians. At the end of the day I don't care who wins. I hate dirty politics and dirty winning. It ruins the fun and now I feel like I can't support anyone really.
