Why are the pundits frustrated that we will not have a frontrunner |
|
until early March, after Texas and Ohio vote?
The whole idea of the primaries is to let as many voters as possible to participate in the process - in both parties. And this is why so many rushed to Feb. 5th.
It appeared that in previous elections, the nominee was pretty much determined after Iowa and New Hampshire - two states that comprise about 0.5% of the voters and that certainly do not represent the country as a whole.
So, fine, let's go through March. I just wish that Biden, Dodd and Richardson were still around.
